Healthcare Key Trends Influencing The Life Sciences Industry
Continental Breakfast, Lunch, and Free Parking are included.
It is no exaggeration to state that the macro Philadelphia region continues to face tumultuous times for the Life Sciences and Healthcare communities. This region has seen significant consolidation of healthcare systems, clinical providers and commercial payors much like the rest of the country. Couple this with increased uncertainty on reimbursement not only from Medicare and the Medicaid, but also from state agencies and commercial insurance plans. The downstream effect of these market dynamics directly impacts the Life Sciences industry as companies continue to develop new technologies for care.
Our Life Sciences community has lost businesses, jobs and investment capital to other regions across the US. With the exit of investment dollars, local entrepreneurs have found it difficult to get ideas off the ground, advance products in mid-stream development phases and/or complete programs to commercialization. With the focus on healthcare in this country, we need to continue to pursue opportunities to advance products to meet the shifting market dynamics and creatively solve for funding sources in the region.
The Life Science Collaborative has spent time investigating the current landscape and is pleased to offer a lens into the leading healthcare minds of the region. This year’s program offers our life science attendees an opportunity to hear from both local and national thought leaders who battle alongside us in driving the change needed for better healthcare. These incredible speakers will share their vision in a series of designed sessions with time for Q&A after each one.
We look forward to you joining this esteemed group of speakers in what proves to be a great event for learning, engaging and networking.
