The Life Sciences Collaborative (LSC) is a select group of founders and investors that share a common vision for enhancing the success of emerging businesses in the biotechnology, medtech, and digital health sectors through peer-to-peer learning, connecting and building professional relationships.
The Collaborative has built thriving groups over the last ten years in the Princeton, NJ, Philadelphia/King of Prussia, PA, and most recently in Boston, MA, regions all of which are homes to leading life science innovation clusters.
One of the Collaborative’s great strengths is the opportunity for members to build connections across these key regions
Who we are
The Life Sciences Collaborative is a select group of industry veterans and executives from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors, and industry service providers who share a common vision of increasing the success of emerging life sciences businesses in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
LSC activities are built around small, informal, monthly breakfast educational and networking meetings. These sessions focus on topics around innovation and investment, including industry trends, practical issues related to growing and managing innovative businesses, and best practices.
The meetings also include presentations by emerging companies, providing them with opportunities to get expert feedback on their technologies and to expand their networks.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Life Sciences Collaborative is to promote connectivity among leaders in emerging life sciences businesses through networking, education, training, and mentorship with the goal of advancing professional development and business growth in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Steven Kantor is Executive Vice President and Principal of KEH Insurance Agency, Inc. Steve has a vast and notable background in professional services sales, business consulting, management liability and risk management throughout multiple industries. He has earned the Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) designation from the International Risk Management Institute. This Property and Casualty Insurance designation identifies individuals who have satisfactorily completed examinations exploring the various aspects of management liability exposures and coverage forms.
Steve has been Managing Director at Jefferson Wells International, as well as a Manager of Business Development at Smart and Associates. He also co-founded the Complete Enrollment Agency, a non-profit organization created to help seniors with low incomes enroll in government benefits to improve their quality of life. He was also the co-founder of Eldersearch.com which became a leading online community to provide support and resources for those caring for a loved one suffering from alzheimers disease. The company was acquired by The Fischer Foundation for Research in 2001.
Prior board memberships include being a founding member of the Philadelphia Board for Corporate Governance which Steve created in 2001 as an educational and networking group supporting executives of publicly traded companies in the Philadelphia region. He was a member of the George and Lois Krall Center for Corporate and Executive Education at Drexel University and the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University, a member of the National Philanthropic Trust, a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement Delaware Valley, and a member of the board of Trustees of Rutgers University (Camden, NJ). He also serves on the board of Advisors to Jersey Man and Philly Man magazines.
Steve has been a judge of the Wharton School of Business – Business Plan Competition (2004-2009), a judge in the Fox School of Business at Temple University – Business Plan Competition (2005), and a judge in the Rohrer College of Business – Business Plan Competition (2010-2011).
In 2004, he was awarded “40 Under 40” by the Philadelphia Business Journal, and received the Leadership Award from the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
In 2008, Steve created and was the founding Chair of the Technology Leaders of the Delaware Valley. In 2012, he started and is founding co-Chair of the Life Sciences Collaborative. The group leads regional breakfast meetings with CEOs of privately held Biotech/Life Sciences companies and now produces an annual conference attracting industry leaders including institutional investors and entrepreneurs. The conference attracts 150-200 professionals from the mid-Atlantic region.
He also is the founder and Chairman of the Calling All Angels Gala to benefit the CARES Institute (Child Abuse Research and Educational Services) at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Proceeds from the benefit have now totaled more than $ 1 million.
